DAY 1 After an early start from home, we left Wellington Barracks at 08.00 and having negotiated many hills and 90 miles we reached Dover at 15.30 where a well earned beer was waiting.

DAY 2 We boarded the ferry at 08.00 and having got off in Calais at approx 11.00 we arrived in Ypres at around 16.00. There, we attended the last post evening parade at The Menin Gate where Chris and Tom laid a wreath during a very touching ceremony and we also raised around £230.00 after the ceremony in collection boxes - good effort Malc and Pete!

DAY 3 Late start due to repairs that had to be done to Darren's bike. We finally left for Oudenaarde at around 10.30 and arrived at 16.00 just in time to sample the local beer which, was more than welcome!

DAY 4 The final day we left camp at 09.30 and eventually reached Waterloo at 16.00 after a hard days ride with everyone's legs tiring. The bikes packed into the van for the last time, we then visited Waterloo and laid a wreath before making our way home.

A brilliant time was had by all of us and hopefully we raised lots of money for The Colonel's Fund.

I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and a big thank you to the two non Grenadiers Tom and Chris and the 2 Petes for keeping us fed and watered en route.
